Thank you for considering making a contribution to our efforts. We live in a world that is filled with news stories of non-profit organizations that are mismanaged or worse. We see frequent news stories about the criminal misconduct of self-serving board members, yet you want to invest in the efforts of JAC.

We hope it would be because you are as committed as we are to preserving the quality of life you’ve come to enjoy and appreciate. We hope that you are likewise committed to the honest confrontation of a mega-corporation that flaunts its fiscal resources and continues to “do as they please” with regard to the proposed development. A development that would benefit a handful of Native Americans and a host of corporate investors.

Driving by the proposed sight you can’t help but notice the continuing construction. It would be a profound mistake to believe that the fight has already been lost or that our community has to simply tolerate what gets built.

In spite of what seems like unlimited funding, Penn National and the Jamul Indian Village can be forced to play by the rules and regulations that apply to all of us. However such efforts are very expensive even at the reduced rates we’ve negotiated with our attorneys. To date we’ve incurred approximately $132,053 in legal expenses in State and Federal Courts. We’ve been dealt with fairly and those responsible for representing us have spent many hours of research and preparation to file and passionately argue our position. We have COMPELLING argument before the court.
